hello, Zoners

I'm new in turbo, but I want to install it in my m40 engine.

yesterday I meet my friend that work as turbo mechanics and he also e30 lover. he said that it is possible to add turbo but my afm will not last, because the air from turbo will push the afm flap time overtime and it will destroy it. so turbo is good for engine with airmass.

and the other parts from m40 is not design to handle power from turbo so the engine also not last.

is it true?

thank you

Put the AFM before the turbo.
The M42 block is a modded M40 block. M42's get blown to 200 with a Dowling Atlanta Kit off the shelf!
Depends what you want to get from it a M10 might be better in terms of supporting knowledge.

hello, thank you for the info, but put the afm before turbo, does afm will still give accurate input to ecu?
