I have got an E30 with M50 part completed project. I want to check engine is properly earthed to the chassis - but where is the earth strap located? I have have quick scan underneath and above but can't immediately see it. The battery terminal to chassis strap is connected to the suspension turret.
Many thanks

With the original M20 engine, the earth attachment point is on the passenger (RHD) chassis leg, roughly inline with the filler cap for the coolant tank. I dunno if the M10/M4* were in the same place or not though.

Thanks - I can see that bolt on the chassis leg. Where on the M50 engine would that go to? I guess anywhere on the block within reach?
