What make and oil ring setup are people using?

If using the m54 b30 pistons you have to use m54b30 rings (they are thinner) except for the oil scraper (bottom ring) is the same size as m52, so use m52 bottom ring its a three piece design which is better than the m54 2 piece design.the m54 hada big issue with oil consuption which had been attributed to the poorly designed oil scraper ring, it wear down and doesnt scrape the oil properly im not sure on good makes, iv never had an issue with any expensive and cheap.

Been having a read up and seems its due to just lack of maintenance ,CCV issues, carbon build up block up the rings and common on engines that have done over 100k with poor maintenance.

S54s use the same design of oil ring.
