E30 Zone

So I've finally come to the wiring and never had the loom attached to the engine, done the soldering and plugged it in but not sure on the plugs.
I have left:
2pin plug, red wire with white stripe and a brown.
2pin plug, white with brn stripe and a white.
3pin plug, red with green stripe, a black and a brown.
2pin plug with only one wire, brown with green stripe.
3pin plug White with yellow stripe,red with white stripe and white with green stripe.
3pin plug red with yellow stripe, yellow and a brown.
2pin blue with yellow stripe and a green with white stripe.
Also a broken insulated blue wire which is just hanging there?

Also is there a trick to getting the injector to fuel rail clips in place?

A firm push down on the wiring cover usually clicks them onto the injectors mate

Evaporative control valve? Is that to do with carbon canister? What do you normally do with them?

Binned my carbon canister and removed the wires from the loom!

What about the breather from the tank?
The metal pipe under the car is rusty and would like to remove it.
intend on dropping tank off so can wax oil it properly.

Aren't these the wires for the reverse lights? Would explain why they don't appear on the engine circuits.
Not needed on an E30 conversion, of course, since the body loom carries the reverse light wires.
If you just leave the tank vent solenoid wires not connected, it will produce a fault code, and illuminate the engine check light, if you connect one up. This can be avoided by leaving the solenoid valve connected and tying it back out of the way somewhere, or by replacing it with a resistor. BMW actually supply a resistor with the appropriate socket, for use on cars in regions of the world where emissions regs. didn't require a closed fuel tank.
Vent pipe can be removed back to the rear subframe, but the end of the pipe from the tank vent bottle must be left open and tucked away somewhere where it won't get blocked.

M52 loom had reverse light wiring and plug on it.

I've dug out a '99 Z3 2.8 engine loom, and it has a two pin plug on it with a blue/yellow and green/white for the reverse light switch. The wire is on the section of loom with the relays and lambda sensor wiring, which plugs into the end two sockets on the ECU, with the coil loom plugging into one of the others, and the section of loom for the injectors and other engine sensors plugging into the fourth.
The reverse light wires from the plug emerge as two pins of a four pin socket near the relays.
I've also had a look at an older '95 2.8 loom, with the X20 plug, and this has the green/white and blue/yellow wires in a long loom emerging from the end of the convoluted tube from the bulkhead box to the engine sensors. The blue/yellow goes to pin 10 of the X20, and the green/white to pin 12.

Gonna get all the known wires plugged in this weekend and get some fuel and fresh oil in and see what happens, just praying it turns and fires.
Bought the engine without hearing it run but we'll see what it does.

Every plug has a home now apart from reverse light plug so thanks so much lads.
where on the alternator does the blue wire go?
I have the thick battery lead in place but is there also another wire to alternator?
Need to bend my matrix pipe down a touch, work out which fuel pipes are which on the fuel pump ( in tank, with sender) then I should be ready to add fuel.

If you have a conventional alternator, then the blue wire you mention in the last line of your OP is probably the wire to the D+ terminal.

Yeah that's the one mate, normal alternator not the plug in type.
