Evening have just finished the wiring connector as per the wiki for my 1990 m20b20 to 1996 m52b28 and I seem to have 8 loose wires on c101 connector and a s*** load on x20 is this normal and where can I find out what the loose wires on c101 connector do?
Thanks

ive cut the C101 off the engine loom and x20 of ecu side of the loom out of e36 to make a connector so i dont have to modify the e36 loom also if i need to do an engine swap in the future it will save me unpluging all the loom from engine side and re doing it all.
Also mine a 1990 moddel without ABS slightly confuses me when people say 1990 was when ABS was introduced. oh well
and yes that helps thanks ill just need to find the info on the e36 now to see what i have left over which needs wiring.
Thank you

That would be brilliant if you could find it I just wanted to make sure all the c101 wires were connected up to make sure all the warning lights work in the e30 I'll have a look into what can be cut out to make things neater the 328i has a lot of optional extras on it which is probably why it's more confusing for me. Not brilliant for a first timer haha.
Thanks alex
