Using Getrag 6 Speed - Which driveshaft to suit?

Hi Guys.

I'm assuming this would apply to both S50's and M50's, I got an S50 but I'm asking in the M50 thread since I may got some more views, as I assume the engine would sit in the same general area.

I know with a ZF 5 Speed 328i or M3 Box, a 328i driveshaft is bolt-in and the correct length with no custom mods required.

How about if using a E36 M3 Getrag 6 Speed Manual, which model driveshaft will be a good fit?

Cheers.

you can use an e36 m52 prop but it needs to be shortened and balanced , i'm having this work done soon for £60 ...are you aware that you need to make some sort of custom brackets for the gear box mounting ...

i have pics of a decent design and a bosh it one lol

in the top 2 pics the gearbox crossmember is actually welded to the 2 brackets also.

The 2 supporting brackets are made from 3mm thick steel

It's strong

:D
