Silver label 413 is EWS version. Do you have the EWS bits fitted?
Purple label is the earlier non EWS.

I just had an absolute fucker of a time with this on my e36 m52. It turned out it wasnt EWS, ECU or even the loom and turned out to be the engine loom but you wouldnt have the same issues i have considering your not doing m50 to m50 so the engine loom will be the same.

It does sound rather odd your not getting fuel or spark. My guess would be something has been missed or wired incorrectly, but what I dont know.

Have you got fuel coming out of the injectors?

Crank sensor plugged in correctly?

It has a old immobiliser unit not factory fitted but I never had a problem with it when I had my 1.8 engine in it I have noticed that on the alam box it has a key lock which is turned to the off position (I do not have the key for the box) I have cut though the wires to discard of it but I have now rejoined them I want to remove all the alarm wiring but don't want to disturb the car main wiring loom any suggestions!
