Exhaust headers

I recently picked up some s52 cams, but want to look into sorting some better exhaust headers over my current m52 standard ones.
What options are a direct fit, or little modifcation that will work well with my m52b28 which has an m50 intake, will have s52 cams.
Not looking to spend a huge amount like the stainless or full system linked in the m5x wiki. Do s50 headers fit well, Ive seen they only require some mods to the end tube around the steering colhmn. but some pre made e30 m5x headers would be nice!

s50 headers require a lot of modification, and unless done well, ruins the point of the manifold. BTB charge over a grand for this service.
Fritz bits also do a decent manifold. Although will the gains be that noticeable/worth £750 over a modified m52 system, doubt it:

Yeah that is the one from the wiki I looked at, want something cheaper.. Like the ones on Turnermotorsport, which probably won't fit RHD seem abit steep too but cheaper than the fritz...

What does everyone else go with?
If it's not going to net me much gains, I may go with my initial plan keep the m52 headers and 2.5" single pipe it with some straight through mufflers and find a quiet rear box. Don't want anything loud, perfect how it is currently but I can tell it's choking top end (still have the stock dual pipe 320i system)

You can try a M3 exhaust with the stock (modified) manifolds?
Cook on here had a system made up with S50 manifolds and also has s52 cams fitted.

To be fair, m52 tubular manifolds flow very well. Nothing cheap will flow better, and I don't think there is anything cheap on the market anyway

True fair enough, Not looking for cheap but I'm not looking to spend more than the motor cost me for some better flow. I will just look into opening up the rest of the system then leave the m52 headers on there.

I think single 2.5" might not be enough. People seem to recommend the m3 system which iirc is twin 52mm pipes
