bend the bracket back and forth a few times and it will snap off. I still have the windage tray in my S50(US)e30

Yep bend or cut the bracket off with snips, best to not use a grinder with an open sump.
Leave the tray attached

I have the bracket attached under the Main Bearing bolts, i have now removed it completely, will i need to replace the Main bearing bolts i have removed?
At this point I have also been advised to weld the pump sprocket bolt onto the sprocket as these are prone to come loose, is this needed?
