s50 oil filter housing on m52 vanos oil pipe fitment

has any one put a s50 oil filter housing on a m52 engine and had issues with the vanos oil pipe..
the banjo bolt dosent screw into the filter housing as its too big..
any idears?

ps i have fitted the housing to put a oil cooler on the engine

I had the same issue. You need to open it up to the correct thread. I also needed a M3 power steering pump which also needed a little engineering to get the pipes to fit. It definitely wasn't the straight forward swap I was told, but now fitted it does a good job of keeping the oil temp under control.

all sorted cheers people i made a new pipe with an fittings and braided hose..
i havent got pas pump on my e30 dont feel the need for it and as irs a track car less weight haha...

only reason for the pump is for the OEM style

I have a batch of conversion banjo bolts.
Makes life easy if you are not comfortable modding the housing...
