E30 Zone

I'm just doin the m52 conversion which for the majority of its life will be on the road not track and it's come to upgrading the rack, I've got the e36 328i rack but is it worth putting the e46 one on or stick with the e36 one?

E46 rack is much better, well worth it.

I hear it's a (purple tag) rack but which models and years are these fitted to as it will have to be a used one ill get

Its random, they seem to be fitted to anything

How do I identify a purple tag one?

It has a part number ending 067 and the tag is purple....

I did some reading last night and I came up with this:
- purple tag ending 67
- purple tag ending 678
- yellow tag ending 712

Looks like they are from facelift 330ci.

All are much improved compared to stock.

Wery good news for me,I got one 067 on 330ci donor car for my e30,will fit in e30 together with m54.

They were known as "Clubsport" racks and cost a premium because of it but the rack seems to be fitted to anything, mine I think came from a diesel.

my is 2002 330ci msport,but not clubsport.

I've found a purple tag rack cheap but the numbers are Part numbers (on the metal plate) -1 096 908 & 7852 974 491
Would this fit?

All e46 racks will fit, but not all of them are quick ones.

Cheers I've just been told a purple tag one so how would I know if it's a quick rack
