Okay so when I picked up my new engine it came with the original radiator (325i e36) and when i removed my 316i e30's and stood them together they appeared identical?
i've tried both rads in and out and they both fit the mounts.. I just wanted to check the radiator I got with the engine wasn't another e30's as they are both in crap condition and I'm looking to replace with the mishimoto which they only do in e36 model”¦

I've asked a similar question before about pipe work and I'm pretty sure they are compatible but always best to make sure when ordering parts!!!

cheers

AFAIK, E36 325i radiator should be wider. The core should be 440mm wide, with the E30 version being 380mm wide.

The E36 325i uses the same rad as the E30 318iS which is 440mm wide. An M40 is 380mm wide.
If the E36 rad fitted onto the M40 rad mounts, it wasn't a 440mm E36 rad.

You want an E36 rad for an aircon equipped car, its the same width but approx 100mm taller

Just measured them both at 440mm wide? My car must have had a replacement.. Also dropped my engine in to check clearances and having trouble in my
Mind how the pipes fit? They must have to bend back on themselves a lot even if they are cut down?? 8O

Bottom hose should fit just fine. I needed to cut a good bit off both ends of the top hose to get it to fit without kinking.

Is this an e36 air on radiator in my M52 conversion (it's got a leak so going to do a straight replacement)

If it is, will any year of E36 325/328 radiator work?
