hello guys,
basically m50'in an 89 316i with a standard pump and single sender tank.. I've looked into the bigger 6cyl pumps but they fit the duel sender tanks which would mean new pump tank and also the fuel gauge?

A mate recommended using the 318is pump (which worked for him) But then I was told you have to switch the original clocks for the 325 e30 clocks or the rev counter doesnt work correctly..

any advise on the clock and fuel pump would be appreciated.

as soon as the car is sprayed i'll be straight into fitting the m50 and looking into what i need to get it done!

Thanks alot

The fuel pump you already have is more than adequate for any M5x engine (assuming it works), unless you intend to bolt a large turbo to it.
All E30 in tank fuel pumps are identical. It's the frame they're mounted in that varies.

The FPR sets the fuel pressure, and the standard pump is adequate for all except engines which use a much higher fuel rail pressure.

Oh, and you dont need 325 (well, 6-cyl) gauges - just a 6-cyl coding plug :)

Just the coding plug. Plugs into the lower right front face of the cluster.
If you did fit instruments from a six cylinder car, you would probably end up with an inaccurate fuel gauge.
