driving the car today it was going well then on a long straight i opened it right up but kept it below 6.5k rpm shifting through the gears .noticed a loud noise but thought it was the wind through the car windows and sunroof at first then after a short distance i found a lay-by and pulled over then noticed the oil light was on [not good] .switched the donk off and checked for oil leaks and oil fill level which was all good then started the engine which sounds like a cement mixer now with most of the noise coming from the cams and injector area,it ran for a short while and now the car wont start .

what should i look for that's caused it and where any damage will be ? cam cover and sump off job ?? .

canny sick of it right now as you can imagine !

Could be the spring's broken in the oil pump for the oil pressure relief valve, which would result in no oil pressure..

Sounds like the engine's toast :( Hope it's not!

Pull the cam cover off and have a look. Expect the worse, if it was at high revs :(

Are the plugs in properly? Did you check them when the engine was out? You would be surprised by the amount of so called mechanics that dont know how to fit a sparkplug
