540i maf?

i was searching the net trying to gain some knowledge about the us s52 cams, came across a couple of threads were the yanks were using 540i and s50b30 mafs on their m52's coupled with other mods and a tune.
Just wondering if anyone has any better knowledge on the subject, would it be of any benefit to us guys over here?

I believe that the cost involved to map a Siemens ecu is not worth the gains, especially since nobody over here has a ready made software update for your engine and this maf.

The US s50/S52 cams provide a nice gain. Some run them without tuning/chip/flash, and some with. But at about $400-$500/set(plus shipping) they're a bit pricey. If you get s52 cams to use in an m50, get the trays. And the same goes for S50 in an M52.
The 540i maf is said to be a waste by itself BUT may be useful with other mods. Doesn't really answer you're question though...
