Same problem - idle

Hello again,
My m50 idle is still the same (rocking up and down) from 600 to 1500
I have 2 lambda, 2 icv, 2 tps, 2 MAF....same idle when the engine is hot or cold
If i unpluged the MAF connector the idle settles but runs rich and backfires
Almost all my air hoses are new, injectors been refurbished with injectortune...
Any ideas?
( i'll drive it like that to santa pod and you can hear it there)
Thanks

mines doing this at the moment (trackcar not been started for 6months was ok) but if you unplug the idle control valve it idles at 1000rpm .no idea why.might just leave it unplugged ??

Mine did that when I had a leak in the exhaust upstream from the lambda, but it only did it hot whereas you say yours does it cold so it's probably not that. Can you get a live data readout from your ECU via an ebay cable? It sounds like otherwise you're just spending time & money at random.

Ideally something that will plug into the round diag socket and let you run inpa if your donor is late enough to support it, Or you can make some early M50s beep codes at you if your multimeter does continuity beeps. Not as useful as live data but might be helpful.
You can do the flash codes as per -
http://www.unitedbimmer.com/forums/e36/ ... -code.html
But you won't have the pin connected to the light on your dash so you'll need the multimeter in beep mode between the pin at the ecu for the dash light and ground.. or was it 12v... it's been a while lol

I ran the INPA software and it didn't flag any relative errors, however I took the time to reset the adaptation values which did the trick. I also read elsewhere on the net that this has had other positive/negative effects though so I carried it out with little hope.
You need something like this, was a while ago I got mine but this is pretty much it:

Got a call today ...
Looks like one injector was not working and some wires the wrong way around
Need to contact injectortune regarding that injector
