E30 Zone

Can I pick someone's brains please new centre bearing turned up today. Now admittedly ive only had 5 minutes to have a look but I can`t see a reasonable configuration of the prop.

M50 engine and box mounted up pel bought a semi complete kit for the conversion and came with e36 2.5 front section.

It might fit if I bolt the front e30 and e36 front together and put it on back to front but this would mean only 1 uj and it would`nt be in a position to serve much of a purpose

Any input would be appreciated I should have some more time tomorrow to get under the old girl and play

No idea what you mean but what gearbox you use depends on what prop you use ;)

Unanswerable question without a lot more info. Any E30 rear section fits, since the distance from the centre bearing to the diff. doesn't change, whatever engine and box is fitted.
M50 gearboxes come with E30 diameter output flanges or larger ones, and tend to have 12mm bolt holes instead of 10mm.
Whatever bits you have, there's usually one that fits, or one can be made for not a lot of £££s.
Centre bearing can be fitted backwards to give a small adjustment.
Don't forget that the whole thing has to be perfectly balanced, and BMW props are balanced as a complete unit. Balancing will be needed if any mixing and matching takes place.
