Im in the process of swapping my sport from the M20 turbo (which met a very hot and melty top speed end) to a hopefully bulletproof M50 turbo.
Does anybody know of anyone or any companies that are making custom turbo inlet manifolds yet. you often see the crazy swedish e30 turbos with big shiny inlets. Are they all one offs or is the someone out there knocking them up ??

I would believe they are all one-off jobs.
Have a word with Gunni, he may know more

Are you planning on running anything in the order of 800whp or more?
then sure you might need a manifold.
Stock M50 manifold has shown it´s capability to 700whp+

fair point.
im not thinking of quite that much. something in the region of 500bhp
im still learning bits about the m50. its an engine im not as familiar with.
i ran a turbo'd m20 for a couple of years and now want bigger.
is there much modifications needed to the original inlet for it to work ?

None.
Except for a idle control valve fittings needs to be made sure not to come out.

You have to do that on NA M50, they like to fall out
