Bleedin system!!!

I'm Having a few problems with the cooling at the mo,
the thermostat AND the water pump both went on the same day last week
So i'v changed them both, brand new 80degree stat and a brand new waterpump,
(still need to get a new brown temp sender, as thats fooked aswell, so have no reading on the clocks)
I'v tried for 2 days to bleed the system and no matter what i do it's just not having it,
I filled the system via the top hose till water started to come out the top of the hose and the rad,
connected the hose back up, left the bleed nipple undone, ran the car till it was hot..
getting hot air via the heaters, and no air bubbles from the rad,
tightened up the bleed nipple, took it for a spin, loads of heat from the heaters, got back and i could hear the car gurgling,
popped the bonnet and the water hoses were rock solid,
undone the bleed nipple to obviously be met with a fountain of seam...
bled it again and again and the same thing happens....
what do people think
drain it and do it again....?

It'll be quite hard for me to do that mattrs,
mines an M52, and the radiator is from the E36, with air con, so i dont have an over flow pipe
but cheers anyway..

i'm having the same problem just now. can't see why it's such a ballache to fill this time, when i filled it for the first after doing the conversion it was easy, now no matter what i do i have air at the top of the rad and a full header tank.

Hmmm seems to be ok now, but.........
when the bleed nipple it tight, and the cap is on,
if i squeeze the top radiator hose, im sure i can hear a slight/faint little "hiss" from around the cap/nipple area, cant place it yet, but dont think this is normal,
anyone got the same radiator as mine ..from an E36 with air-con

(The one on the right)
can you squeeze your pipe for me
and tell me if you can hear anything around the radiator cap area

sure it's not water peeing through the overflow at the top of the bottle? take off the cap and you will see a small hole.

Yeah with the cap off you can see the water is circulating, by squeezing the top hose
but with the cap on im sure it sounds like its very faintly sucking/hissing air
I'll leave it for today i might be hearing things... i am hungover

had the hissing problem with mine last week (amongst other things) turned out to be radiator cap,was not sealing and you could hear hissing if you pumped top hose.one new cap later and all sweet now

Well a little update...
I thought it was the thermostat housing that had gone as i seen air bubbles coming from the top of it,
went to take it off..... snapped one of the 10mm bolts, managed to get it out, so went off to ecp this morning and got a metal thermostat housing, went to put it on....SNAP goes another 10mm bolt
got that one out,
put it back on again, put in the rad, attached the hoses, filled with water and.................
it was like a volcano of water coming to get me via the top of the radiator
so now that everything has been changed,
thermostat, water pump, thermostat housing,
all hoses andsensors have been checked, no leaks,
so basically it's sucking in air from somewhere and the only place it can be getting air from is,
yup, the engine,
so either the gasket has gone or there's a crack somewhere in the head/block,
half the engine is stripped down now, i'll whip the head off tomorrow after work and see if anything obvious stands out
BALLS!!!!
