Hey guys,

just looking to find out how much needs to be taken off the m20 flywheel when getting it lightened?

How much is the flywheel standard and how light does it need to be after?

Thanks

When you're having the work done you want to take the metal from the engine-facing side of the flywheel. There's a handy lip of about 0.5mm you can skim down to - should be obvious when you look at it.

heres a pic of a comparison, helped me out no end, also theoretically it wont need balancing as you only removing material in a linear plane not drilling like some places do :)

It needs to be set properly if your not going to balance it afterwards

It needs to be set square to the tool, so you remove an equal amount of material from around the flywheel, if not it will be out of balance.
