From 1 problem to another lol......
Sorted the running issue and now I'm loosing water from the back of the head! I think the wiring loom has pulled on the pipe and this has now happened.
Is there a way of changing this pipe with engine in situe?? I need to change it as she is loosing water now. Maybey the jubilee has worked loose but possibly the pipe has gone
Thanks for any help guys

Just the rubber hose should be OK to do with the engine in situ (assuming you can get to the jubilee clip to undo it properly.
You may be lucky and can just do it all from underneath, but otherwise the inlet manifold is coming off

I can't see why it can't be done with the engine in. IIRC when i fitted my engines I didn't have the pipes attached and will have put all this stuff on after it was on the mounts.
You may have to remove or undo the 4 pot loom cover on the bulkhead as they get in the way as you'll discover when it comes to getting the very rear inlet mani nut undone

Reach around the front and give the wire to the crank sensor a wiggle, see if that makes any difference. Check you haven't disturbed any plugs underneath the inlet manifold where all the wiring and connectors are dude

I do wish I hadn't bothered mate to be honest! There was nothing wrong with the m50, except the box was shagged so engine had to come out to change it and while I was there I thought more power.... Why not.
Lee pm on its way mate

Right time for an update....
It was a serious problem but thanks to danthe I will have the car up and running thursday I hope.
Symptom- burnt wires in the wiring loom!!
Cause - lambda sensor wire had burnt to a crisp!
Reason this happened was I used lambda sensor wire to extend the front lambda but ran out of this wire so I used 30amp loom wire to extend the back one. This isn't good enough for this so if anyone thinks of doing this DON'T BOTHER!!
It burnt through and apears this is the cause of the running issue above, but atleast now I have ngk plugs instead of bosch ones.
So when dan sends me a new loom she will be all good
