help pls

Drove my m50 today as she's on the road as of today, temp sat on halfway (just below when moving) heaters fine and hot but when I gave her a shoeing the heaters wernt hot hot. I stopped to check it (paranoid) and the heaters came back hot again!
Why is this?? Could I still have tiny pockets of air in the system? Or am I being paranoid?
