M20 flywheel binding problem. Is it just a little of the sump casting or elsewhere?
Thanks
Mark

Just a little off the fins and bits where the bolts sit, 5 mins with a grinder. You can see pretty easily when you offer it up.

i would be careful. some get away with very little to remove, mine looked like it was going to need far too much off. i did the fly instead.

Do the flywheel instead and bring it down to 5.9kg or buy one already done from Hongkongfuey on here.

I'm pretty sure my E21 M20 flywheel didn't need any further clearance, it was a while ago now though. Also E21 flys are lighter I was lead to believe...

Yep, you need the E21 release bearing too.
Think the E21 fly is about 6kg

Cheers guys. I ground off a little from the fins. Not so much that it would ruin the integrity of the sump bolt sockets but just enough so there were no witness marks. Should do the trick.
