I have been toiling under my e35 m52b28 today in an effort to remove the engine.....
I have a couple of questions
1. What is this vacuum pipe for? and where will it be connected on e30?
Also I see this on the top rhs of engine it has a cable running from it - is it needed? where do I mount it? & how do I wire it in?

I think its coming from underneath the manifold - but why is it going under the fuse box? where will it go instead on my e30?

No.... It goes to a round canister that sits low on the rhs of the engine well under the manifold

sounds like fuel pressure regulator valve... does it have a circular valve thing connected to a 2 pin plug?

Can't remember tbh - back out tomorrow
It is a cylinder that says vacuum on it - tired - probably not making much sense

isnt that vacuum hose the one that goes to the backbox to activate the exhaust flap?

Sorry turk, not no 1 on picture
It goes from under the fusebox to a cannister that is mounted low down on the engine block under the inlet manifold

Dont worry about the vacuum pipe, it probably wont be needed.
The motor is for the ASC secondary throttle which is not needed, just unbolt it from the throttle body and fit a standard boot

I've got a 525 inlet and boot - so that should do away with it - no?
