Didnt I read somewhere that you can get different temp thermostats ?

I have done a search but cant seem to find what I want :?

I am guessing A lower temp one is needed ? I have an E36 323 rad from a A/C equipped vehicle. My engine is a M52b28 and will be used for track only and will always be run to full temp before use.

I pulled the old part out and it says 92 deg c on it.

you get an 88 degree one. if no one comes up with a part number off their head i'll check my receipt for the number.

:D thank you so much !

I want to replace that, the water pump (metal type), the plugs with iridiums, I have a K&N oil filter, good oil and some forte flush. I also have a genuine BMW drive belt.

Anything else I should consider while I'm at it ?

change the tensioner too. if you get one from ECP or the like check the clearance between the tensioner body and the water pump pulley. mine was touching.....and i didn't notice when i fitted it....only later in a complete fluke spy did i notice. :o

KWP water pump from ECP is the one to use, alloy stat housing is a must
Part number for an 80° stat = 11 53 1 713 040

Hi, I know I have asked this before but I have forgotten what the answer was, sorry!
Is this the same if you have an m50?
I need mine to run a bit cooler on the track.
Ive looked on ECP and got a part code for the water pump of 201110125 is that correct?
What would be the 80 degree stat code? same as above?
Thanks
