m52 bhp optiions

Hi there i have a M52 and now thinking of uping the bhp, im on the lookout for the m50 inlet manifold then prob a good remap and im just wondering what other people have done and what bhp outputs they have thanks dan

Remap = waste of money 99% of the time, get an inlet on it and then save up for some cams, then find a competent 'tuner' not 'cowboy with a laptop' to sort the map out

Town325i ill keep that in mind and dan am i right to think m3 us spec cams are best or go aftermarket?

S52 yeah, approx half the cost of aftermarket cams, Schrick cams are about £900

a lightened flywheel works wonders on these engines , no power gain but the engine pulls and revs up a lot bloody quicker

for over 250 break you will need cams, bigget TB and some luck.
i have seen them make close to 250.
230 is plenty with the right gearing.

u will need cams, manifolds, remap, cold air intake, modified exhaust then u can start thinking about 250 bhp.

Chucking in an Alpina B10 3.2L or 3.3L lump would be the easiest way then.

I have an Alpina 3.2 in soon if your interested, the same as Danthe.
Also have an M50 intlet with injectors and throttle body attached for sale.

Have a look at T1000's posts on E36coupe. He has about 260bhp iirc from an M52.
