swapped my m20 325 for a non vanos m50 2.5 engine in ok wire loom off danthe m20 light flywheel clutch and starter m40 318 gearbox 2.0 gear linkage got a 2.5 prob but seems to small
it won't turn over on the key briged 11 and 14 on the round plug but just get a clicking from the 3 relays any help would be get

If the relays click when you bridge 11 and 14, I suggest you start looking at the engine earths.
Have you actually remembered to fit it?

as brian said, there is an engine earth strap which is bolted to the driver side engine mount arm and bolts to the chassis leg down the side near the washer bottle

I think Wess has sorted this now, hopefully he will report back with a non melted loom!

yes i did fit the earth strap on the exhaust side now fitted one on the other side to plus cleaned and geased all earths and now turns over and now melted loom thanks for your help yesterday DanThe
