is this good a guy on ebay emailed him about doing the work for me

hello
we normally charge in the region of £1500,
50/50 part and labour loosely speaking,
but you will have to consider front and rear running gear, you will need stronger front end suspension (320/325 or touring) and rear discs to stop the 195bhp u will have on tap,
labour wise you would be looking around £850 approx (or £1900 supply and fit)
i can give you a list of all parts you would need to supply if needed
cheers
chris

My first opinion is that sounds a lot of money, i am in the middle of this conversion right now, and if i added up all the stuff needed
+ time involved searching and collecting etc and all the bits needed that you dont think of, gaskets, oil etc then believe me it adds up. I believe i got a good deal in scourcing the parts, prices paid, Tony (Eko) for the price for doing the job etc etc, but i put a lot of time and effort into scourcing the parts myself and its very time consuming.

If you have the cash and do nothing except drop the car off and collect when ready then £1500 (although a lot) is worth it if thats what you want.

If you have time, then get the bits yourself and it will be cheaper, but will take longer.

Also, there is allot of different ways of doing it, do you know what way they will be doing it?

If your scourcing the parts then the quote is too much.

For that money id expect to drop the car off and only return once id had the call to say its finished.

Also, if your scourcing the parts then you need to know which way your going to do the conversion to get the correct bits.

Lots of options.
