Hi Guys,
I have been toying with the idea of an engine conversion for some time now and there is an M52B28 out of a 328 Tourer on ebay at the moment at £200 with no bids.
It includes gearbox, wiring loom and ECU.
Does this sound like a good buy?
Auction closes in 30 mins!!!

sounds good but its a gamble with an engine you havent seen or heard running.
worth a punt imo!

Does the fact it's out of a Tourer matter? (Gearbox I mean)

Just out of interest is the M52B30 much quicker and how available are they?

The one in lancashire will go up by another £100 at least, 14 bids and an apparent 79k miles?
No such thing as an M52B30, unless you build one yourself, M54B30 is not worth considering, only thing to do with one is pull the crank for a conversion
Buying an M52 off the floor is a complete gamble, there are so many shagged ones out there its unbelievable, even engines with warranty replacement steel liner blocks end up as light iron, as e30bmlover knows
