E30 Zone

hi guys,
I got a e30m convertable and i have just dropped in a 24v valve out of an e36 325 coupe. I'm having a few issues i hope u guys can help,
firstly i have installed the rad from the e36 but the pipe kinks slightly when it is connected i have only tried the top hose so far but assume the bottom is the same, (I am assuming this is bcause the rad is now closer to the block ) is there a way around this?? or do i have to fabricate some pipes.

having got the engine from a 3 series i had to change the sump so now i have 2 dip sticks and can't remember which 1 is which. Does any 1 have a pic of the 1 i need??

and lastly i have used the complete engine and box setup from the e36 (gartrag box(hope i got that right lol)) but the gear lever does not come up central in the hole so i can not select fifth although it has all bolted up ok have i done something wrong (i have used e36 engine brackets with m5 mounts) or do i just need to cut the floor???

any help u guys can give would be great

Seem to remember that I had to have a search through a friendly motor factors stock to find a hose that I could cut a top hose from,bottom was OK,I used one of my donor E34 hoses there.
I also used an M40 gearbox to avoid the issues that you are having with the gearlinkage...it can be done using the E36 'box,but you will have to dig through the M50 thread to find out how!

Im using a rad from an e36 328i, and i'm using an e36 top hose - but it fits perfectly. I'd just cut a small sections off the end until its the right length.
