I imagine that's a fun car to drive. What diff/trans are you using?
I'm using an m40 box with a 3.73 welder, will be fitting an zf box and s50 3.2 at some point, its on its 5th m40 box.
It was rolled at Viking auto Center, like I said a mates car of similar spec made the results above on the same rollers, it was more to check the map.

almost no chance that your peak hp is at 7000rpm and peak torque at 6200rpm like that sheet says, that is why the torque is low. they stuffed up the rpm pickup or calibration factor for mph to rpm, so the rpms are out of whack making torque lower.
if you work out correct rpm at 100mph in that gear you will probably see

That's M52's for you!...DanThe wrote:I would expect to see more torque than that TBH, the hp is over reading by about 10 so not sure why the lbft is down

You are correct, M52 makes peak power at around 6000rpm, torque at around 5kreggid wrote:almost no chance that your peak hp is at 7000rpm and peak torque at 6200rpm like that sheet says, that is why the torque is low. they stuffed up the rpm pickup or calibration factor for mph to rpm, so the rpms are out of whack making torque lower.

As its around 1000rpm out could it be possible running it in 3rd gear would mess up the rpm calculator? M40 box 4th gear is 1:1
i'm not sure with that particular dyno. most operators are too lazy to hookup a pickup sensor to get the real rpm so some read off the speedo and rpm and get a conversion factor this can be out considerably if they do it at low speed/rpm.
this is why i ask for plots of power vs km/h and instead of torque i ask for tractive effort since these are straight from the dyno itself.

It was run in 4th gear, my rev counter is out so they set it at 30mph, it was a rolling road day so not much time was spent doing it as you'd expect, it was more a case of checking the Ecu wasn't dud, they did say the revs would be out
