m52 with no hole for temp switch?

just started putting the loom back on and have just noticed there is no blanck for the brown temp to ?? is there any ways around this ? thanks gary

Just a guess/ suggestion though, as you don't need the little outlet that is shown on the right in your pic, I'm sure you can unscrew that and the temp sender may screw into the thread left.

Just pm'd Gary, the thread on the water outlet is smaller so you need to have the thread on the brown sender turned down.

You can fit a sump plug in place of that hose/bolt/jubilee assembly BTW Lee :D

thanks guys the thread on the outlet on right is slightyly smaller, could i slightly enlarge the thread just by tapping as theres not alot in it thread wise.

also just out of curiosity why would my m52 not have the hole in ? been searching through loads of threads and they all have the hole ready :x

its just my luck at the moment :cry:

The later cylinder heads only have one hole as they changed to a single temp switch. You could enlarge the other hole, but I wouldnt do this with the head on the engine due to the bits of swarf that will drop inside
