Can i use an m52 sensor on my m50, just i have two of them that came with the manifolds? and dont want to buy a new one
the connectors are simular but dont plug together, ive checked the wiring and the colours are the same except the m50 has YEL,BLK,BRN,GRN and the m52 has YEL,BLK,BRN,RED/WHT
also the pin numbers are different.
Ive traced the wiring back using the diagrams on autolib and it seems that if i swap the yellow n black, and connect the red/white to green, brown to brown, it may work?
Anyone shed any light on this?
Lambda/o2 sensor help?

Don't know if this applicable for the M52 but there WIDEband sensors and NARROWband sensors
which can't be mixed up.
BMW hasn't put another plug/wiring colour on it for fun methinks. If your sensor reads wrong your engine will run bad.
Is there a BOSCH number on the sensor itself? Try to google this up and see what type of sensor you have/need
