Sourcing M30B35 and manual gearbox

This is all very much new to me but I have been looking to source a B35 to begin my conversion, however I have been looking for months and have found very few breakers which want approximately £450 for the engine and approximately £375 for a manual box.

Is this averagely the going price? Can anyone recommend someone who may be able to better this?[/list]

That's the way prices seem to be going now, decent engines and manual boxes are getting pretty rare now. It's no longer a cheap conversion unless you get lucky and chance upon a whole donor car going cheap.

Yeh exactly what I have gathered. The best bet would probably be finding an E32/E34 donor so it seems...

8O Wow that's a lot, you'd hope it would be a dog-leg for that sort of money!

I think I'm right in saying that the e32 m30's only came in auto, or at least extremely rare with a manual box fitted.

Non-dogleg. :jester:

I've been looking for a M30b34/5 set up for a while, so when he told me "£800" just for the gearbox, I almost covered him in a mouthful of tea.

There are a few manual E32 735i's about such as in the link below, but of course, being a 'chairman of the board' type car, most were autos.
