If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost for the blasting

I do like a bit of vapour blasting
I'll be getting some bits done for the e24, watch out for up dates on its build thread

What do you do to protect the metal and stop it from corroding again?
Any alloy parts i have, even new, have all gotten a layer of oxidation on them over time.

Haven't done anything to be honest. Had considered a clear coat.

Vapour blasting shouldn't corrode, either way bit of WD40 or another silicone based spray will keep it as new
A product called ACF50 was mentioned to me earlier and is highly rated as well.

Why wouldnt it? Isnt it bare metal?
Igot a new alloy stat housing for my m52 and it looks like shite now, got a layer of white stuff on it, that is corrosion right?
Ive tried dinitrol coroheat and also another product which i think was from raceglaze. Both seemed to prevent this corrosion white stuff but ive only tested it by leaving two coated parts out in the elements.

I used ACF 50 and it's good so far, but only could get hold of it on ebay

The guy who use uses rust inhibitors in the liquid he uses when blasting
I had a stat housing done 2 years ago and it's still as it was when first done
