They are still getting done Jim as they come to me for the mounts
However nowadays my mounts go mainly overseas, quite a few sets have gone to Australia recently and the US, think ive only sold one set this year in the UK.

I'd imagine the rarity of m30 manual boxes puts a lot of people off, there are still a few m30 engines about but loads of m5x donors around now so guess this is the conversion of choice. I'm sticking with m30's though, boat anchor FTW

I still think the m54b30 with manual would make a nice candidate for a e30 conversion and there are loads of these engines about....

so this box sold for £77
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291124937155? ... 1423.l2649
amaxing 2 boxes this year have sold on ebay for £78 and £77
i guess my M10 box i have for sale might be a little overpriced then !!

Any one know if mine's still going ?
Been some years now though !
Still think I should have S/C'd it rather than pissing about N/A tuning it.

Glad to see your 335 still going well

A Clio 172 has to be one of the fastest cars you can find for the money. They drive like an overexcited puppy on acid!

Yep, dead cheap, no rust either for a 12yo car and 35mpg

unfortunately people don't realize the potential of the M30 and think that 24V is the go........
Re:

It was a weigh up between M52 2.8 or the M30. I already had an E28 engine laying around and the swap is technically easier (should be!) as well as cheaper, which is why I went M30 again. As M30 manual boxes are drying up I think 24v is making more sense and the cost will swing in favour of 24v. E34 535i donors are rapidly rising in price where they used to be common place, the manual one I used to convert my touring a few years ago was £200

Hi Rob, just playing devils advocate, m30 boxes are now cheap again. I bought one for £76 and another sold on ebay for £78 last month. There currently is one for £90 for sale on the bay
Seems to be the price these days

Andy, you surely know that if you start looking on here again it won't be long before the inevitable happens

lol
As for yours, I believe the engine was sold on here last year some time. Not sure what happened to the touring

Yeah, dangerous ideas keep popping up on here but the money's not there at the moment
Cheers for the info, bits of it are still floating around then.
