Anyone know if these are main dealer only?
more to the point does anyone have a new set they are not using for sale? (long shot I know)

You can get them from eurocarparts. I purchased the gasket few months back ,so I'm pretty sure they have it
There is a guy called meatballs82 on the zone, who is the official euro car parts trader on the zone ask him.
Also try cotsworld who is the official BMW parts supplier on the zone
THe part number you want is 11621723656
