just wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.

i bought a m30 3.5 engined e30 couple of months ago and i hardly ever drive it. when i got it it felt ok but was running a little bit rich.

its been sat up for few weeks because i wasnt getting home from work til 8. had flat battery so i jumped it and noticed abit of white smoke from exhaust. I got alternator refurbed and now when i start it up its like a james bond car from all the white smoke and smells very rich!! its really bad.

ive got a feeling its the headgasket but it has never got hot since ive had it (temp gauge is constantly in middle and the elec fan is on as soon as i turn ignition). and it dosent use any water or oil....

im was wondering could it be something to do with it running rich??

im not a mechanic but am ok with a spanner i suppose, ive changed steering racks, coilovers and gearboxs etc.. but im abit worried about taking the head off if i dont have to as it seems involved tbh lol.

so its...

running very rich,
heavy white smoke,
dont use water or oil.......

thanks shane

Well if no water is being used the white smoke won't be steam so why would this be a head gasket.

If it running rich check the CTS. They cause this problem.
