What is your car going to be used for? Trackdays, motorway, commuting, bit of everything? Just to help you pick a diff ratio :)

As far as a cooling fan goes, the biggest you can get in the front of the radiator really, I've got a 13" one on mine, as have a few others on here.

I use an E34/32 aircon fan and it does the job just fine with both M20 and E28 535i rad.

Ive had a 3.64 and a 3.73 on a stock engine, i prefered the 3.64 due to being able to use 1st gear without smoking everywhere. I think a 3.46 would be nice.

In good health they are 211bhp and around 230ftlb but its the big wall of torque that makes these fun, Gareths made around 200ftlb @ 1800rpm.

To give an example of what there like on the road, say your in 3rd gear at just over 1000rpm and you stamp on the accelerator it will start pulling hard straight away, also the power is constant throughout the rev range up to about 5500rpm.

No idea what they would hit 60 in but my arse dyno/rough guessing id say around 6 seconds.
Mine done a 14.5 second quarter mile last year, totally standard M30 3.73 diff in the car in my sig vvv it weighs just over 1300kg.

There's definitely something unsettling about a car that can be doing 2000rpm and still set off like a stabbed cat. :D
