Which would sell better, manual or auto M30'd convertible?

Evening all,
Looking for a little honest opinion from the zoners.
The autobox on my M30'd convertible has started slipping. So, my choices are fix the current box, replace with a good used autobox, or convert to manual.
I much prefer the auto myself, I think an auto convertible makes a wonderfully lazy cruiser. However, I am selling the car at the moment so perhaps a manual box opens up a wider audience.
Anyone got thoughts?
Martin.

You're probably right about a wider potential customer base, but you need to weigh up the attendant hassle of conversion against a straight-forward fix.

Having the sluchbox repaired from a specialist will be in the region of about £1k, I know, I had one done a few years ago.
Finding one will be around £300-£400.
Most people prefer manual cars to autos.
Mine is a manual M30, but I can see a market for both.

It would probably be cheaper just to swap the auto box for another one, plus they are readily available.
As for if it will sell better with a manual its down to personal choice of the buyer, keeping it auto will attract the cruiser types.
I vote keep it auto

A little update resurrecting an old thread.
I started this thread saying I liked the lazy cruising style of the auto box, and that I thought I prefered an autobox in a cabrio.
Can I just say that after getting my car back recently with a nicely converted manual gearbox in it, I must have been deluded.
A manual M30 is a whole lot of fun
I really should have listened two years ago when people were telling me manual is the way to go.
Martin.
