Just thinking about it when dose the timing chain need doing on the m30

chains are normally every 60-70k mate

If you do decide to change it, make sure you can get the bottom crank pulley nut undone, it is incredibly tight on the M30!

Ya I had to grind mine off. Only thing is how the hell do you get it that tight again?

Well it's a simple job when you have the engine out but when its still in the bay it's going to be abut harder because the lack of space. Infact near on impossible.

dizzy is dead and head gasket is on its way so gunna give it a good service

Dizzy is easy with the engine in, did mine a few weeks ago.
H/G can be done in situ too, but best done while out though

yer might as well take it out its only a 5 min job to take out and makes every thing very easy
