E30 Zone

Hi I have done the full swap as per e30 zone instruction. My 316i (1990) and used a donor 325i (1988). Swap went perfectly everything worked replaced all the usual perishables and gaskets when engine was out. My only problem left is the usual 325i mystery rich running and running a bit rough. I am working through the process of elimination of vacuum leaks, afm, tps, ICV and so on. I wanted to ask this question. My 316i was non abs and I transferred the brakes over from the 325i which was abs. Is there any way to block of the abs sensor holes in the front struts and rear trailing arms. At present I have just screwed in the old abs sensors and run the sensor cables into the same inner body cavities even though they connect to nothing. Just wondered if it will confuse MOT centres and pass an MOT ok.

I would test the coolant temp sensor from the ECU plug, there is a guide in the zone wiki, it's a common cause of running rich.

Remove all the sensors from the struts, if there is signs of ABS fitted to the vehicle and no ABS light with the ignition then it's a fail. Remove the sensors sensors from the struts.

Thanks for the reply. I will check out the coolant temp sensor as part of the process. As regards the abs sensors I was worried that debris could drop into the holes and cause damage.
