731 head does not have the steam holes drilled in. Needed?

I'm planning a 2.7 with 87 eta block/731 head. ETA head and the 885 both have the extra steam holes, as does the ETA block. B20 block/731 head have none.
So is this something to be concerned about?
Many have simply put on the 731 as is. Haven't heard any issues concerning long term durability etc. Please share .....

did you drilled steam holes? are you using 731 head on eta block?
