Just wondering whats involved & what's needed to convert & run an M20B25 (mildly tweaked) on alpha N.
I know that it will involve a remap & I only ask because I've seen it mentioned on here a few times & heard a few good reports about it.
so come on folk's do tell

In my opinion the best way is with Maxx Apha-n comes with an M20 map and is solely designed for motronic!

The only cons are price and it wont do ignition mapping.
It will do everything else, and if you order the latest version it will map it self with target values and an 02 controller.

IMO dont bother with alpha N unless you have a ITB setup. there are plenty of setups piggyback, standalone etc that use MAF or MAP which are usually better overall setups. i also wouldnt bother with an setup that doesn't allow control of ignition timing.

Or just get a piggyback that can do ignition as well. Other wise getting a ecu of any kind is sort of a waste.

any idea which one to go for that would be able to help me run a MAF sensor instead of the old flappy AFM?

just had a thought, what about a MAP conversion?

Map conversion is more hassle than a maf conversion for similar results. Just go maf.
Of if you want to go further follow what a few others have done and fit the motronic 3.1 from a non vanos m50, not much point going full stand alone for something na and still fairly stock, the motronic 3.1 will be a superior ecu to anything else that could be done for the price.

Good call I wonder if I could use the s50b30 ecu and harness on my m88 for a maf conversion
