Shop left a oil cooler line loose to the former owner and cost me a 325i engine.I found a cheap working 325e so I put it in with the e brain for right now but still won't start. My question is should I switch back to the i brain and or just hunt down the electrical problem?Inside electrical stuff works fine.

The E engine has its crank agngle sensor in the gearbox bell housing.... Without this there will be no go... The ECUs are different and so is the loom..

Sounds like you will need to do a motronic 1.3 conversion on the E motor to get it to run.
