Hi guys,
I have a m20b23 ljet and am looking to increase the power of the car as much as possible without supercharging, changing enine or the turbo route.
I'm new to this so would appreciate any advice on what i can change in the engine as an upgrade to increase the power.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello roguegenius,
I did some google trawling for you, the vast majority of advice is do an engine swap to the m20b25 is the most cost effective way to go. That said, I'm a purest too in some instances as well, either no holds bared or soft mods to improve over stock.
There is almost no info out there for these engines, but some things work on all engines, so, extractors and a free flow exhaust, free flow air filter and cold air intake, maybe increase throttle body diameter, port matching on the head/exhaust, or if head off, that and a mild port job, adjustable cam sprocket so you can tweek the cam timing, or even better, that on a mild cam.
there was a hint out there about fitting the m20b25 injection system on this engine, so that may be possible.
A diff swap will increase the acceleration of the car, if yours is say a 3.91 then a 4.11 will make her feel that little bit more lively. cheers.
