Hello,
It is very difficult to find any g240 or g260 originally from e30 m20.

So in the worst case i will use g240 from m40.

Any info what should i do and what make it different?

I read in forum that the gear stick will be 10 degree to the right because of the gearbox not in the center?

Is it correct? The 10 degree is to the right and not up and down in the back?

I will use m20 flywheel and m20 motor starter?

Make new gear box bracket?

And does the stick will be a problem? Or should i bend it? Or any problem in the shifting?

Any advice welcome.

Thank you
Markus

I think the 4 cylinder engines are at the same slant angle as the M5x engines. So 10 degrees more than the M20.

Why not get a 325 gearbox (G260) and prop if a 320 one is not available?

What is wrong with your old box?

I do engine swap but do it step by step, the 325i engine is 90 percent ready so I will go to the drivetrain, and it is difficult to find g260, propshaft and differential.

do you remember that I post another gear box picture in the thread that is g260.0.1663.91? I'm also still haven't got any clue that it is can be install to e30 325i engine or not.

g240 from m40 engine is a lot here and cheapest so if I can not get any original gearbox from m20 may be I will use it as latest option
