Whenever I pull out the dipstick the engine runs erraticaly. Also the engine is lacking in power. I have checked cylinder pressure which is low at 10 bar, there also appears to be fuel getting into the oil. Would have thought worn rings, but been told otherwise. Car doesn't overheat or loose water, no blue or white smoke, just petrol fumes alot.
To make more confusing, put your thumb over the dipstick it sucks your thumb and engine runs better!
Any answers
Engine sucking thru dipstick and erratic idle

same as removing your engine oil filler cap, BMW crankcase breather system is so good it will draw air through the dipstick tube and into the inlet manifold causing the car to run lean. Put the dipstick in and stop trying to check the oil with it running.
Fuel in oil could be a sticking injector, and did you carry out a compression check with the throttle fully open and are all pressures the same?

Think I only checked first cylinder for compression, was last August so can't remember. I have left in garage for Mechanic to sus. He thinks gasket gone somewhere on manifold or something. Thought I'd post here if someone had come across symptons before
