if your constantly getting leaks from elring gaskets then theres something else wrong.
is this the same engine each time, if so then theres something up with that engine specifically, if it is several ones then there must be something with who ever has supplied the gaskets or how your fitting them.

no not on the same engine else i'd have come to the same conclusion
Thhis engine had the head and the bolck resurfaced but i used a VR gastet and it is weaping on the side of the block.
I have had mostly good luck with elring but not with VR.
This time though i would like a goetze gasket
It was the first gasket i used on an m20 a good few years ago now but i still remember thinking how shit the VR one was compared to the goetze. It is noticably better quality in every respect -
the channels have individual holes - the silicon is thicker - it is pre treated and feels a bit more substantial (though it shouldnt!)
anyway
Anyone know who stocks goetze gaskets?
