Right guys have got the details i need from the organisers..so..
The spectacular landscaped grounds of Glamis Castle are host to the annual Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Society's Scottish Transport Extravaganza.
800 vintage cars and other vehicles are on display. This is an event not to be missed by motor enthusiasts. However, with many more attractions, numerous stalls, a craft tent, marching pipe bands and a children's area, this is an all-round family weekend.
there is a local pub/beer garden 5 minutes walk from the campsite
and an on site shop for papers, rolls, ciggies, etc and of course the ubiquitous beer tent/caterers are on-site
the scouts also provide a large catering tent serving probably the best breakfast in the world lol and there is a dance on the saturday night.
last year there were 25000 visitors to the site over the two days
closing date for entries will be end of march (tbc)
price is £3 per car for the weekend (includes passes for show and campsite for 2 people)
I have got space for 10 cars but if there is more interest we can probably get more space..
so those wanting to go just add your name to the list and i,ll see you there

I actually put my name down for this without even checking where or when it is, but I'm planning on being there (?) anyway!

sorry should have said..for those who dont know, Glamis castle is about 3 miles west of Forfarwhich is 20 miles north of Dundee

Did I mention I've been a scout leader for 15 years? lol!
I've seen some scary cooking sessions, mostly involving copious quantities of lard heated to boiling point!
Looks like being a good week-end tho - and damn cheap!

right guys had a wee update from SVVC and the stand rules have changed this year, this means i can only take in 10 cars or 20 if if we cough up another £30. I reckon 10 spaces is enough but if there is more interest we can look at buying another stand..meanwhile i will drop my space for the cabby, as it will be getting sold in january so there is still one space left for now

thanx missing my car badly put her off the road to do some minor repairs that were anoying me : that was in october last year due to the rear window splitting , now got to mot & tax . been drivng my van since its just not the same

Hey, another Kirky boy!
I don't live there anymore but grew-up there.
So, where you from (Hillhead, Harestanes, Oxgang...)?
You may see my E30 kicking around over there from time to time, my folks and sisters, and niece, are all still there.
I also use Stevie at Semtech Motors for bits n pieces now and again. Infact he's done some work on my E30 in the past and is about to do the flywheel and clutch in my Toyota too.

sorry guys been busy working ..... i grew up in bishopbriggs now i stay in waterside , cars getting there also managed to pick up an e39 as a spare runabout ,will try my best to be at the meet on the 3rd
